What payment methods do you accept?: We gladly accept payments from all major credit and debit card brands, encompassing American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Eftpos Australia, JCB, MasterCard, UnionPay, Visa, and more, granting you access to a seamless payment process. Moreover, we extend our support to Link, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, ensuring a hassle-free and convenient checkout experience.
Where can I find my invoices?: To access, view, and download your invoices, navigate to the Personal Center → Subscription section. Click on the "Change" button, where you will find all your invoices available for viewing and download.
What happens when I go over the AI usage limit on a Free Plan?: When you reach the limit, you will still have access to read, edit, and organize existing papers and notes as usual. However, certain features, such as Paper Espresso, will be unavailable unless you upgrade your plan.
How do I cancel my paid plan?: Your OpenRead subscription, whether annual or monthly, is set to renew automatically until you decide to cancel it. To cancel your subscription, simply navigate to the Subscription section within the Personal Center, and click on the "Change" button. After cancellation, you will retain access to all the paid features until the end of your billing cycle.
Can I get a refund?: If you wish to request a refund and have a valid reason that does not include: a) accidental subscription, b) auto-renewal, c) dissatisfaction with quality, please feel free to contact us at subscription@openread.academy. We may offer a full refund (non-pro-rated) if you downgrade your subscription within 24 hours of signing up. Each case will be considered individually. Please note that requests for refunds must be submitted exclusively via email. Do not initiate disputes through your bank or other payment methods, as such actions will lead to the flagging of your payment as potentially fraudulent, based on our experience with previous cases. In the event of such disputes, we will not refund, and we will have to take the necessary measures, including blacklisting your OpenRead account. This will result in the prohibition of any further activities on OpenRead. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a secure and reliable payment environment for all users.
How credits are consumed?: If you have an active subscription, using Oat only consumes your usage quota—it does not deduct from your credits. Other top-tier models that power Oat, however, do consume credits but not usage. You can purchase additional credits at any time for Oat and these top-tier models if you exceed the credits or usage included in your subscription.

If you don't have an active subscription, you can still purchase credits to access Oat, but this does not unlock other OpenRead features. In this case, using Oat and all associated top-tier models will consume credits per use.

How are credits calculated?

Each language model has its own input and output rates. Credits are calculated as:
Credits used = (Input tokens × Model input rate) + (Output tokens × Model output rate).

Web Search and image-generation models are billed per request. Credits are calculated as:
Credits used = Number of requests × Request rate.
